The AHF Academy is named after the late Raja Ashman Shah, son of the AHF President HRH Sultan Azlan Shah. The Academy is located next to the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium and has administrative offices and class rooms for lectures as well as an indoor hockey pitch.

Inaugurated in 2011, the Academy has since held courses for Coaching, Umpiring, Umpire Coaching, Technical Officiating, as well as training of trainers who will conduct umpiring coaching and technical officiating courses.
